about my teaching

before moving to cologne, i taught for 10 years at many different schools and learning centers. for a few years, i presided over a painting class for seven-year-olds, an independent study art class of seniors and an adult continuing education intermediate drawing course - all in the same day. that was interesting!

from the fall of 1998 until the fall of 2002, i taught full-time at the illinois institute of art in chicago. the student body was composed primarily of college-age students (18-26 years), although a sizable percentage of night students were professional adults interested in making career changes.
